Pack 28 generally meets at least twice per month. Children in younger dens (Lions and Tigers) must be accompanied by an Adult Partner and these partners are an integral part of the curriculum delivery. Children in older dens may attend without an adult partner, though parents are encouraged to attend and participate. All meetings will have a minimum of two leaders present.
Pack meetings run typically 1-2 hours, although special activities may be of longer duration. During each meeting, the Scouts will participate in a flag ceremony and engage in activities that may fulfill requirements towards adventure loops / Webelos pins. Important Note: It is NOT expected that all adventure requirements will be completed at a Den or Pack meeting; some activities are best done at the Scout’s own home (Ex: keeping a chore list for two weeks, helping prepare a family meal), and some activities will need to be done independently if a child misses a meeting.
Meetings are held on Sundays at 1:00 PM at the Wallingford Parks & Recreation Building.
In each month, the following activities may occur:
One meeting with the entire Pack
One or two Den meetings
One or more outings or local activities
Over the course of a program year, Pack 28 will also participate in special events, including:
Overnight family campouts
STEM activities
Pinewood Derby
Community and conservation service projects
Field trips and special outings
District and Council events
