Beginning August 1, 2023, all new youth and adult members who join Scouting will be enrolled in a 12-month membership cycle and will renew their membership on the anniversary date of joining Scouting. For currently registered Scouts and leaders, the Pack will collect their membership fees and they will be processed during the Pack's rechartering process.
Annual registration and dues of $230 covers:
$85 National dues
$12 Insurance fee
$73 Connecticut Yankee Council Operations
$15 Scouts Life magazine subscription (optional)
$45 Pack 28 Dues
Pack dues cover the cost of Scout awards and advancement items, event trophies and awards, meeting supplies, Unit recharter fee, Scout leader registrations, facility rentals…
Expenses not part of Annual Dues include Pack campout/special event registration, Day camp and Family/Resident camping, Council/District event registration, uniform and handbook, Pack 28 cap, t-shirt, patch, and other apparel.
The Pack has various fundraising opportunities throughout the year. Families are expected to participate in order to help offset program costs throughout the year keep at dues to a minimum.
